In the movie "Arthur", the character Arthur goes on a journey. In the beginning he is spoiled and has a fortune of money at his disposal. He is temporarily happy with the things money has bought him such as batman's cars and a magnetic floating bed. In a journey however, characters grow and change into a new and different character almost. In the short story, "Appointment with Love" Lieutenant Blandford learns that the woman he's been writing all along appears to be an older lady. When he discovers it was all a trick and that this older lady is directing him to the beautiful young woman he had seen earlier, he grows as a character as he was not judgemental towards the older lady. Arthur grows in learning that happiness isn't about the fortune you have and rather for him it was about the people who surrounded him and loved him like Naomi and his Nanny. He finds a priceless happiness in Naomi by the end like Lily finding the Boatwright sisters from "The Secret Life of Bees". Finding that priceless happiness in others is a huge growth of character, but is that the final destination for Arthur? Or is there a larger happiness that can be found after finding those people to surround you positively?
