bought happiness

Happiness comes from within.
      by Aasim Sakharkar

You tried to wander across in shopping malls
Finding books across book stalls
Watching movies in cinema halls
No matter what you do, your conscience crawls

You tried a Europe tour
To find 'happiness' in that endeavour
Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin
Only posing in pictures with a grin

You stop and you ponder
Take a break, from routine you sunder
Inside yourself you find a cause
Produce happiness in your own warehouse

Now people read your face
Talk about your grace.
They describe the glow on your skin
You know why? because happiness comes from within.

...The character in the poem, "happiness comes from within." definitely took a bit of a trip to find his personal happiness.  His trip was similar to Sdepa's in a way also. These 2 characters couldn't make their own definition of happiness and had to try different things like "you tried to wander across in shopping malls. Finding books across book stalls" (Sakkharkar, Happiness comes from within.). Sdepa shopped for his fancy car looking to find that happiness. Truly, happiness "comes from within" (Sakkharkar, Happiness comes from within) and is expressed with the glow on your skin rather than how much you're paying. The glow on your skin is worth more than a million dollars though because it can't be achieved by just anyone. So what's your price tag on happiness? Or is happiness so cheap that anyone can find it...
